One day. The whole movement, in one room.

Dr. Mary Bourque, Executive Director of the Massachusetts Association of School Superintendents, delivers the keynote. Fireside conversations, four working workshops, and the founding class of the Alliance, celebrated together for the first time.

Workshops

Four workshops. You rank your top three.

Space in each session is limited. During registration you'll select your 1st, 2nd, and 3rd choice — seats are assigned in the order registrations arrive, so register early for your first pick.

Workshop A · Power to the Pupil: Remixing Educator Development Through Grow-Your-Own Programs

Presented by Simone Miles Esteves, Ed.M. — Moving to the beat of a mixtape, this session will unpack one district’s efforts to remove limits on educator development and design a program responsive to the humanity of our students and educators. Participants will explore the roadmap of this district’s “grow your own” program and leave with actionable strategies and a fresh perspective on what holistically grounded and pedagogically powerful educator development can look like… and a mixtape to keep the inspiration going!

Workshop B · Leading the Act: What Implementation Asks of District Leaders

Presented by AMSEL — Every district’s equity journey looks different, and the Educator Diversity Act is reshaping where those journeys meet. Join fellow AMSEL members for a candid, peer-led conversation about what’s working, what’s hard, and how our DEI efforts can move the Act’s goals from compliance to real culture change.

Workshop C · Beyond the Recruiter’s Table: District–HBCU Partnerships That Bring Educators to Massachusetts

Presented by Building Bridges Education — The pathway to a diverse educator workforce runs through the nation’s HBCUs, and it takes more than a job-fair booth to build it. Building Bridges Education, home of New England’s largest HBCU initiative, shows district leaders how immersive partnerships from the HBCU Summit to campus road shows create direct lines to graduates prepared to teach and lead in the Commonwealth.

Workshop D · From Advocacy to Implementation: The Educator Diversity Act in Practice

Presented by Latinos for Education — Full session description coming soon.
